The Chevrolet Corvette is a sport car that Forza Motorsport 3, Forza Motorsport 4, Forza Motorsport 5, and can be won in a showcase event in the Xbox 360 release of Forza Horizon 2. It is produced by the American car manufacturer Chevrolet.
|“||The real star of the early 1960s hit show “Route 66” was the Corvette. Main characters Tod and Buz cruised the open highway in search of adventure, somehow getting a new Corvette every year. Chevrolet was the series’ main sponsor and the partnership resulted in a starry image for the Corvette. While Corvette sales benefited from the exposure, improvements in performance options continued to make the Vette the American car of choice for sport driving enthusiasts of the era or for those trying to look the part. The most potent option, the 283 Fuelie, would put out 290 horsepower. Connected to a four-speed with Positraction, performance was the best in the business. On the outside there were few changes to make the 1960 model stand out from its predecessors or later models until the Corvette Sting Ray was released in 1963.||”|
This model is equipped with an 11.0 to 1 compression 283 cubic inch (4.6 L) smallblock chevy V8. Outfitted with a high reving solid lifter cam and a mechanical fuel injection system the closely geared 4 speed (non-overdrive) transmission complements the engines rev happy nature. Handling is enhanced by a rear independant suspension and ridgity increased with the use of a full frame as appose to a unibody. As a with all corvettes this model sports a fiberglass body to keep weight down.
Cost effective UpgradesEdit
To further increase frame ridgidity and handling a roll cage would be advised as well as removal of the rear bumper to help keep weight down. Due the motors relative lack of low end torque it is advised to add a stage two transmission upgrade to allow a rear gear swap (4.55 gears work well).
