"The Ferrari California was the Prancing Horse’s first V8-powered front-engine car. Replaced years later by the California T, the naturally aspirated V8 was swapped out in favor of a 3.9-liter turbocharged V8 engine capable of outputting 552 horsepower at 7500 rpm! It retains the front-engine design, as well as the 7-speed transmission and RWD drivetrain, and can reach 0-60mph in just 3.5 seconds. With updated styling found across both the exterior and interior of the car, grand touring is engraved throughout every facet of the California T – a convertible that ensures you have both the looks and performance to cruise anywhere, anytime. A distinguished Grand Tourer."
—Official description[1]

The 2014 Ferrari California T - abbreviated as "Ferrari Cali T" - is a rear-wheel drive convertible grand tourer by Ferrari.

It appears in Forza Motorsport 6 and all subsequent main series titles, with its inclusion in Forza Horizon 5 as part of Series 7.

Synopsis[]

The California T is an updated variant of the Ferrari California with a turbocharged engine, making it the first Ferrari model since the Ferrari F40 with a forced induction engine.

It features a new front fascia with similar styling to the Ferrari F12berlinetta, a revised rear end, and a new interior. It also reduces turbo lag by the way of smaller turbos and a variable boost management system.

In 2017, the California T was replaced by the Ferrari Portofino.

Drivetrain[]

Its twin-turbocharged V8 engine, codenamed F154 BB, produces 552 hp (412 kW) at 7500 rpm and 557 ft·lb (755 N·m) of torque at 4750 rpm. Driving the rear wheels is a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox with different gear ratios from the 2008 California.

Performance[]

The California T features superior performance to its predecessor, thanks to a more powerful engine, revised dual-clutch transmission yielding a faster 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) time of 3.5 seconds and better handling. It hits 203 mph (327 km/h) as top speed, making it faster than its real-life's performance which is 196 mph (315 km/h).

Its performance matches it with the likes of the Aston Martin DB11 and Jaguar F-Type R Coupé.
