The F12tdf is a limited-production exotic grand tourer and high performance variant of the Ferrari F12berlinetta. Its name pays homage to the Tour de France automobile race held between 1899 and 1986 and which was regularly won by the Ferrari 250 between 1956 and 1964.

Not for the bicycle race that this front-engine V12 supercar has nothing to do with, but for the long ago motor race of the same name. More importantly, what the tdf means is more power and more sharp-edged performance than the standard F12, that and knowing you have those three letters on the end of the badge. You want some cool tech to help real in all that power? Well meet VSW or Virtual Short Wheelbase. That is a fancy way of saying rear-wheel steering. The Ferrari F12tdf was produced in only 799 units. Its name pays homage to the Tour de France automobile race held between 1899 and 1986 and which was regularly won by the Ferrari 250 between 1956 and 1964.
The Ferrari F12tdf's 6.3 L (6,262 cc) naturally aspirated V12 engine, codenamed F140 FC, now produces 769 hp (573 kW) and 520 ft·lb (705 N·m) of torque. The redline occurs at 8,900 rpm. The F12tdf can do 0-60 mph in 2.8 seconds and a top speed still "in excess of" 211 mph (340 km/h). Ferrari also claims that the Ferrari F12tdf has lapped the Fiorano test circuit in 1 minute 21 seconds, just 1.3 seconds behind the Ferrari LaFerrari; this makes the F12tdf the second fastest road-legal car on Ferrari's Fiorano test circuit.

Performance
The Ferrari F12tdf features greatly improved performance over the regular F12berlinetta and still feels grippy. 0-60 mph is now done in 2.9 seconds, while the F12tdf now takes just below 290 ft (88 m) to brake to a stop from 100 mph (161 km/h). The F12tdf's top speed is 236 mph (381 km/h), much faster than its claimed top speed of 211 mph (340 km/h). The F12tdf, however, loses to the Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 SV due to the latter's superior acceleration, launch, handling, and braking. Despite this, the F12tdf is the fastest "Super GT" car.
The Ferrari F12tdf is the second fastest road-legal Ferrari in the series, only behind the Ferrari LaFerrari.
