"How audacious is the GMC Typhoon? It’s an SUV that can’t go off-road but can out-accelerate a contemporary Ferrari. With tenacious grip from a full-time all-wheel drive system, it can pull nearly 0.8 Gs on a skidpad—and this with a live rear axle sitting on leaf springs. It even uses a relatively common powerplant, the GM 4300 V6, and bolts on an intercooled turbocharger to make totally uncommon horsepower. [...]"—Official description[1]
The 1992 GMC Typhoon is an all-wheel drive performance SUV by GMC.
It appears Forza Motorsport 4 as part of the November Speed Pack, in Forza Horizon 4 since Update 28, and in Forza Horizon 5 as part of Series 22.
Synopsis[]
The GMC Typhoon is the SUV variant of the 1991 GMC Syclone sports pickup that was made available in North America for the 1992 and 1993 model years.
An upgraded GMC Jimmy, the Typhoon sports a turbocharged V6 engine with 280 hp (209 kW) that sends power to an all-wheel drive. Although engine specifications are identical to the Syclone, the Typhoon weighs 187 lb (85 kg) more, giving it a slightly slower 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) of 5.3 seconds than the Syclone,[2] which requires 4.8 seconds.
