"The fourth generation of the much-loved Honda Prelude saw the demise of pop-up headlights, but brought new-found performance in the form of the 2.3 H23A1 motor. Delivering the most horsepower yet (around 160) the Prelude Si could no longer be classified as a compact car in Japan. With its new luxury classification came other changes to some of the trademark appeal of the Prelude. The Japanese VTEC Si had in in-dash TV as an option, a visionary design when you consider the prerequisite in-dash screens of today’s cars. On the exterior, the rear end was rounded rather than squared off and sat high in comparison to previous models, while the front fascia was wider. Tune up your “Lude” and represent for the Honda fan-boys (and girls) of Forza Motorsport 5."
—Official description[1]

The 1994 Honda Prelude Si - abbreviated as Prelude 94 - is a FWD sport compact by Honda featured in Forza Motorsport 5 as part of the Honda Legends Pack and as standard in all subsequent Motorsport main series titles.

It also appears in Forza Horizon 4 since the Update 6 patch.

Synopsis[]

The 1994 Honda Prelude Si is part of the fourth generation Honda Prelude that was produced from 1992 to 1995.

It was replaced by the fifth generation Prelude for the 1996 model year. The latter is featured in the Forza series as the 2000 Prelude SiR and Prelude Type SH.

Platform[]

The 1994 Prelude Si is noticeably wider and more comfort-oriented than the previous model generation. It features more rounded styling than its predecessor, while also introducing a distinct split-grille front-end that replaces the pop-up headlights of the former with a fixed variation.

The double-wishbone suspension, four-wheel disc brakes and optionable four-wheel steering were reintroduced with this model.[2]

Drivetrain[]

During its production run, the Prelude Si was offered with different engines for various markets. It appears in Forza as a United States model with the 2.3 liter 'H23A1' with 160 hp (119 kW) and 156 ft·lb (212 N·m) of torque. The H23A1 lacks a VTEC system that other Honda cars such as the 1997 Civic Type R have, but provides more torque due to a higher displacement.
