"For 2012 the Wrangler received a new engine, the Pentastar V6. It delivers significantly more horsepower, a total of 280 ponies and more torque, 260 pound-feet to be exact. That’s a 40 percent increase in power, and a 10 percent increase in torque. More juice is good! And it even gets better mileage. The 2012 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon is by far the most comfortable and amenity -loaded Wrangler ever. Inside the cabin you will find redundant steering wheel controls, a refined dash and center console, as well as things like heated seats and mirrors. Jeep has not forgotten why most people buy Wranglers either, so its capability off-road has been enhanced too. In the Rubicon model you will find sturdy Dana 44 axles front and rear, a locking rear differential, and stock water-fording capability of 30 inches. The Jeep’s wide stance and short wheelbase also make it a blast to drive on pavement. While it’s truly at home on the trail, you will find its track performance more than just capable."
—Official description[1]

The 2012 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon - abbreviated as Jeep Wrangler - is an offroader by Jeep that debuted in the May Top Gear Car Pack for Forza Motorsport 4, and returned in Forza Motorsport 7 as a reward for a May 2018 Forzathon challenge.

It has also been featured in every Horizon main title since debuting in Forza Horizon as part of the November Bondurant Car Pack.

Synopsis[]

Named after the Rubicon Trail in Nevada, United States, the Wrangler Rubicon was a high-end offroad-ready trim level for the third generation Jeep Wrangler that was available from the 2007 to 2018 model years. It was available for both two-door and four-door models, and came with a newly developed Pentastar DOHC V6 that replaces the 3.8 liter pushrod V6 from older models.

Fast & Furious Edition[]

The 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Fast & Furious Edition is a special variant featured in Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious. It is a four-door model modelled after Tej Parker's Wrangler Unlimited JK from the 2015 action movie Furious 7.

Trivia[]

  • It can be modified with a full set of offroad body upgrades such as a front tow bar and snorkel.
  • In Forzavista mode, it has an incorrect engine model. In-game, it shows the old pushrod 3.8l V6 from 2011 models, when the 2012 model in-game actually has the newer Pentastar 3.6l V6.
