The 2010 Lamborghini Murciélago LP 670-4 SV (abbreviated as Lambo Murciélago in Forza Motorsport 7 and Murciélago SV in other games) is a high-performance supercar featured in all main titles since Forza Motorsport 3's Hot Holidays Car Pack.

The Murciélago LP 670-4 SV, whose name stands for "SuperVeloce" (lit. Superfast), is the last production model of the Lamborghini Murciélago before the introduction of the Murciélago successor Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4, whose LP 750-4 SV variant acts as the Murciélago LP 670-4 SV's successor. It uses the "SV" nameplate previously featured on the Miura SV and Diablo SV.

The Murciélago LP 670-4 SV is also the last Lamborghini car to use the Lamborghini V12 engine, as the Aventador uses a new V12 engine, codenamed L539.

Description

"The Murciélago LP 670-4 SV may be a mouthful, but consider it shorthand for one of the fastest Raging Bulls ever to roar out of Lamborghini’s Sant’Agata plant. Fitting, because the “SV” tag stands for SuperVeloce—Italian for “superfast,” and Lamborghini only uses the SV name for the most highly-tuned final edition of a model going out of production. The SV modifications for the Murciélago certainly fit the bill, managing 661 horsepower (the “670” in the name is the metric horsepower rating) from the latest generation of the 40 year-old Lamborghini V12. Of course, nearly every part of the engine has been updated and optimized over its lifespan, which should be apparent as it warbles by at full throttle. In addition, the SV was put on a diet of carbon-fiber, trimming 220 pounds, and adding spoilers and side scoops crafted from bare carbon-fiber. The Murciélago was already a stunner, and the LP 670-4 SV is a fitting send-off to one of the most ferocious supercars to ever wear the bull of Sant’Agata."

Characteristics

The Murciélago SV, being the last car to use the Lamborghini V12 engine, retains the 6.5 L (6,496 cc) engine of the LP640, albeit with more power at 661 hp (493 kW). This makes the Murciélago SV the car with the most powerful rendition of the first-generation Lamborghini V12 to date.

The Murciélago SV also makes more use of carbon fiber, with a revised front splitter, carbon fiber rear wing, and carbon fiber side scoops. At 3850 lb (1746 kg), the Murciélago SV is also 218 lb (99 kg) lighter than the LP640.[3] This results in a power-to-weight ratio of 379 hp (283 kW) per tonne.

The Murciélago SV is capable of 0 - 60 mph (97 km/h) in 3.2 seconds, 0 - 100 mph (161 km/h) in 7.2 seconds, and a top speed of 212 mph (341 km/h) with an optional smaller rear wing or 209 mph (336 km/h) with the standard Aeropack rear wing; both speeds are exceeded in the Forza titles.

  • In Forza Horizon 3, the Murciélago SV can be won as a prize in the wheelspins.
  • The Murciélago SV's 6.5 L V12 is available as an Engine Swap option for certain Lamborghini cars in Forza Motorsport 4.
    • Since Forza Horizon, this V12 engine has been replaced by the Aventador's 6.5 L V12.
