|Rarely, will you find supercar performance in a luxury sedan. However, the E63 AMG from the three-pointed-star marque is an exception. Sub-three-and-a-half-second 0-60 times, more than 200 mile per hour top speeds, and all around cornering stickiness put the E63 AMG in an elite group of cars with this many doors and these kind of performance numbers. 4Matic all-wheel-drive certainly makes a huge difference in how tractable this car is, with all four wheels distributing the incredible torque. This allows the E63’s massive 577 horsepower to be put to the tarmac at any time without having to fight the wheel spin battle. This kind of power and handling is more than at home on the track. It follows that 2013 also marked the entry of Mercs in the V8-Supercar series, further proof of the E63 AMG’s supercar blood. If you just think Erebus livery and a lap at Bathurst you begin to get the picture of what is possible with this amazing ride in Forza Motorsport 5.|
— Official description
The 2013 Mercedes-Benz E 63 AMG - abbreviated as M-B E63 - is a sports saloon by Mercedes-Benz that debuted in Forza Motorsport 5 as part of the Alpinestars Car Pack and is featured as standard in all subsequent main series titles.
The 2013 E 63 AMG was produced from 2013 to 2017 alongside its coupé counterpart, the CLS 63 AMG. It was introduced as part of a facelift for the W212 model generation of the E Class and brought along an all-wheel drive option for the first time. It was replaced in 2017 by the W213 model generation.
The E 63 AMG featured in the Forza series is equipped with the optionable 4Matic all-wheel drive system and a 7-speed transmission. Compared to the 6.2 liter V8 powertrain from the 2010 model, the 5.5 liter (5,461 cc) V8 engine from the 2013 model is fitted with twin turbochargers and direct injection to increase power and fuel economy. The M157 engine powertrain produces 577 hp (430 kW) and offers significantly more torque than its predecessor by going from 464 ft·lb (630 N·m) to 590 ft·lb (800 N·m).
The E63 AMG compares to other sports saloons with a great emphasis on speed as evident by its top speed of 206 mph (332 km/h), which is raised to 211 mph (340 km/h) in Forza Horizon 2 and Forza Horizon 3. Its AWD system allows it to launch very quickly and reach impressive acceleration times that include 3.4 seconds for 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) and 8 seconds for 0 to 100 mph (161 km/h). The E63 AMG's high weight does affect cornering in the form of understeer, although it is quickly compensated by the car's strong acceleration.
