Nürburgring is an environment featured in every Forza Motorsport title. Three track layouts are used - Full Circuit, Nordschleife, and GP Circuit. The Nordschleife also appeared as a separate environment in Forza Motorsport 2 and Forza Motorsport 3, while the GP Circuit also appeared as a separate environment in Forza Motorsport 3.
The Nürburgring is located in the town of Nürburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, and features a Grand Prix track and a much longer Nordschleife track built in the 1920s. Nicknamed by Jackie Stewart as "The Green Hell", the Nordschleife is 12.93 mi (20.81 km) long and has more than 1000 ft (305 m) of elevation change from its lowest points to highest points, as well as 154 turns.
|Full Circuit||Nordschleife||GP Circuit|
|Distance||16.15 mi (26 km)||12.93 mi (20.81 km)||3.2 mi (5.15 km)|
- Both the Full Circuit and Nordschleife feature well over 150 turns, many of them very dangerous to drive through at high speed. Cars that specialize in handling and braking, like the Renault R.S.17 and Dodge Viper ACR, can handle the intense turns of the Nordschleife with ease.
- Towards the end of the Full Circuit and Nordschleife, there is a long straight which allows most cars to reach 200 mph (322 km/h), although it is immediately followed by a sweeping curve and sudden curves, meaning that cars must immediately brake or risk going off the track and crashing into the guardrails.
