The 2012 Nissan GT-R Black Edition is an AWD supercar manufactured by Japanese carmaker Nissan. It appears in every Forza title since Forza Horizon and also appears in various E3 2017 gameplay footages of Forza Motorsport 7.[1]

The 2012 GT-R was the first facelift variant of the R35 GT-R, which included a major power raise to more than 500 hp and chassis optimisations. The Black Edition model was the highest model trim of that year and included a red and black interior, darker six-spoke wheels and leather Recaro seats.[2] Another facelift was introduced for the 2017 model year.

DescriptionEdit

The GT-R is absolutely a supercar, only this incredible ride comes from Japan. Picking up where the legendary Skylines of the past left off, the Nissan GT-R delivers straight-line performance that can’t be beat by cars five times its price. When it comes to cornering, it is dexterous and light-footed. A near unfair advantage is found in the traction from its high tech all-wheel drive system that delivers astounding grip and predictability. The GT-R’s looks make it a standout in any performance showdown and any supercar lover will find plenty to respect. Should the power and capabilities of the GT-R come into question, just bring any challenger on. The proof of the GT-R's dominance will soon be found in the dust that the doubters will consume while chasing it.

PerformanceEdit

The GT-R Black Edition features strong straight-line performance, as characterised by an above average launch rating and consistent power delivery by its twin-turbocharged V6 engine. It handles corners well although with a hint of understeer, which is strongly pronounced on twisty roads.

In Forza Horizon 3, the GT-R Black Edition may be upgraded using a Liberty Walk preset that raises its performance index to S1 895. It includes a number of handling upgrades, which greatly improve its cornering abilities. The Liberty Walk upgrade gives the car significantly sharper steering and takes advantage of the AWD system and acceleration, making it a strong contender for grip-based race events.
