The 1966 Nissan Silvia is a RWD sports car by Nissan featured in Forza Motorsport 6 as a Unicorn car, and as standard in Forza Horizon 3 and Forza Motorsport 7.

Synopsis[]

The 1966 Silvia is a model of the first generation Nissan Silvia codenamed CSP311. Unlike later model generations that were mass-produced, the CSP311 was hand-built from 1965 to 1968. Due to the cost-intensive production and a sticker price that surpassed the contemporary Nissan Cedric luxury sedan, only 554 units were produced.[1]

Styled with input by BMW 507 designer Albrecht von Goertz, the Silvia features distinctive jewel-like bodywork and an angular cabin with slim A-pillars. Its platform and 1.6 liter twin-carbureted engine were borrowed from the 311 series Nissan Fairlady, the predecessor to the Datsun 2000 Roadster.[2]

Trivia[]

  • It was added to Forza Motorsport 6 undisclosed as part of the December 2015 content update and listed as a free add-on on the Microsoft Store.[4] Despite players downloading the aforementioned add-on, it was strangely concealed from in-game purchase and marketplace and was obtainable through the career mode menus. This process was accomplished by entering Career, and selecting Stories of Motorsport, Volume 1, Classic Compact, Buy Car. It since been removed from the Career menu and few details have been disclosed regarding its attainability - confirming its unicorn status.
