Driving this JDM masterpiece can be a transformative experience. With enough power to conquer any road it encounters and the kind of sleek lines normally reserved for chorus line girls, the Silvia turns heads wherever it goes.

The 2000 Nissan Silvia Spec-R is a front-engined sports car by Nissan that appears in every Forza main title.

SynopsisEdit

The Spec-R is the highest model designation of the S15 Silvia, the last model generation of sports cars based on Nissan's S platform.

Similar to the previous top-of-the-line S14 model, it was equipped with several aerodynamic upgrades and powered by the two litre turbocharged 'SR20DET' engine with power increased to 250 hp (186 kW). The manual transmission of previous models has been replaced by a six-speed version.

It is also shorter and lighter than its predecessor, the Nissan Silvia K's Aero, as evident by having 40 lb (18 kg) less weight. In addition, it is based on a more balanced chassis due to having only 51% of its weight on its front axle.

The S15 Silvia was produced from 1999 to 2002 and only available in Australasia.

EditionsEdit

Horizon Edition Edit

The Horizon Edition is a special variant that appeared as a Horizon Wheelspin reward in Forza Horizon 3 prior to the October 14, 2016 update. It features a drifting skill boost and various performance upgrades, most notably a 2.6L twin turbo engine swap from the Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II, a brass paintjob combined with a carbon fiber hood, and a Rocket Bunny widebody kit. As a result, it has its performance upgraded to Class A but can be upgraded further to the top of Class S1 (900) with a preset.

The Horizon Edition was obtainable as a Horizon Wheelspin reward prior to the October 14, 2016 update. It was later made obtainable as a reward in two Forzaton events:

It can also be added to the player's garage via the Auction House.

Forza Edition Edit

The Forza Edition is a Forza Motorsport 7 rendition of its equivalent from Forza Horizon 3, but comes with homologated performance (which consequently results in the loss of the Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II's engine in favor of the normal SR20DET engine), as well as a 25% credits boost and an additional 25% credits boost for every third Good Drift. It can be won upon unlocking the Masters Championship.

Performance Edit

The Silvia Spec-R is a nimble sports car that can easily master corners and has a potent engine for its class.

In Forza Horizon 3, the Horizon Edition variant with the S1 class upgrade preset offers 748 hp (558 kW) and 565 ft·lb (766 N·m) of torque. The Horizon Edition combines its high power output with a decent handling tune, allowing it to drift at sharp angles and regain speed quickly with little difficulties. It can also perform well in grip-based race events but requires good throttle management skills for competitive racing.

Trivia Edit

  • Its engine - named "2.0L I4 - Turbo" - can be fitted onto various cars including the 1993 Nissan 240SX SE in various Forza titles.
  • It is featured with an incorrect torque specification in the Forza series, as it produces 225 ft·lb (305 N·m) of torque in real life.[2]
