The vehicles of Horatio Pagani represent a crossroads between art and automobile. The BC takes everything that makes the Huayra exquisite then embellishes the interior and exterior to make what is already a hypercar even more exclusive. The BC is named after Benny Caiola, one of the first Pagani customers and a close friend of Horatio’s. With only 20 models slated for production, rarity is just one of the many benefits found in the BC. Of course there is more power, more downforce and aggressive looks to match the increased outputs. Deciding what to appreciate more will be the hardest decision you will face upon acquiring this masterpiece.

The 2016 Pagani Huayra BC is a hypercar that appears in Forza Horizon 3 as part of The Smoking Tire Car Pack and in Forza Motorsport 7.

The Huayra BC is an extreme, track-focused version of the Huayra, unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. It is named after Benny Caiola, a long-time friend of Horacio Pagani and the first customer to buy a Pagani car.[2]

Only 20 units of the Huayra BC were produced, each priced at US$2.6 million.

Specifications

The Huayra BC is powered by an updated version of the Huayra's 6.0 L (5,980 cc) twin-turbocharged M158 V12 engine, with 789 hp (588 kW) at 6,200 rpm and 811 ft·lb (1100 N·m) between 4,000 and 6,500 rpm, although the Forza renditions of the car instead feature pre-release specifications of 740 hp (552 kW) and 737 ft·lb (1000 N·m), respectively. The Huayra BC also uses a seven-speed Xtrac sequential manual transmission with only one clutch due to weighing 40% less than a traditional dual-clutch version.

The Huayra BC's weight was reduced to 2685 lb (1218 kg), owing to the use of a new material named "carbon triax" which Pagani claims is 50% lighter and 20% stronger than normal carbon fiber, resulting in a power-to-weight ratio of 648 hp (483 kW) per tonne.[3]

The Huayra BC also comes with a lighter titanium exhaust system, new aluminum allow wheels, and a more minimalistic interior. Tires used are Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires with 12 different rubber compounds. Avional, a type of aeronautical grade aluminum, is used in the suspension and wishbones in the Huayra BC.

In addition, the Huayra BC sports various exterior changes. The front bumper has been redesigned with a front splitter and winglets, the sides now feature deeper side skirts, and the rear is comprised of an air diffuser as wide as the entire rear bumper and a large fixed rear wing. These exterior components are used for downforce and drag optimization.

The Huayra BC is capable of 0 - 60 mph (97 km/h) in 2.8 seconds, 0 - 100 mph (161 km/h) in 5.6 seconds, and a top speed of 238 mph (383 km/h). In Forza Motorsport 7, these performance stats were reduced to 3.25 seconds, 5.75 seconds, and 231 mph (372 km/h), respectively.

Performance

The Pagani Huayra BC's more powerful twin-turbocharged engine produces a very high top speed of 240 mph (387 km/h) and faster acceleration and launching on par with the Pagani Zonda R (except in Forza Motorsport 7), with 0 - 100 mph (161 km/h) down to 5.7 seconds. Cornering and braking are strong advantages of the Huayra BC, as it is not only able to corner quite sharply, but it also has more efficient braking than its competition due to its improved brakes and aerodynamic efficiency.

Trivia

  • In Forzavista, activating the Pagani Huayra BC's aerodynamic flaps play the regular spoiler deploy/retract sounds instead of the aerodynamic flap deploy/retract sounds unique to the regular Huayra.
  • The carbon fiber hood, roof, and rear engine cover of the Huayra BC can't be painted with decals at all. This has never been corrected.
