"When Porsche entered the SUV market years ago with the Cayenne, some enthusiasts hemmed and hawed. What should have come as no surprise is that Porsche created something amazing, and the Macan is no different in the crossover class. The Macan is a tiger in the real world, and in Turbo form it is both beautiful and prodigiously powerful. So once again there’s no reason to worry that Porsche has expanded its line in to more sedate regions, they are still making the most exciting vehicles in their class."
—Offcial description[1]

The 2015 Porsche Macan Turbo - abbreviated as Porsche Macan - is a performance crossover SUV by Porsche featured in the Porsche Expansion add-ons for Forza Horizon 2 and Forza Motorsport 6. It appears as standard in all subsequent Forza main series titles.

Synopsis[]

The Macan Turbo is a high-performance variant of the Porsche Macan that debuted in 2014. A facelift was introduced with the 2019 Porsche Macan Turbo.

Drivetrain[]

The Macan Turbo is driven by a 3.6 litre "CTLA" V6 engine with integrated dry sump lubrication and twin turbocharging, outputting 400 hp (298 kW) at 6000 rpm and 404 ft·lb (548 N·m) of torque at already 1350 rpm to 4500 rpm. Sporting a seven-speed dual clutch transmission and a 400 hp (298 kW) twin turbo V6, the Macan Turbo offers a 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) time of 4.2 seconds, making it on par with larger high-performance SUVs.

Platform[]

The Macan Turbo has multilink suspension on all corners and an all-wheel drive system utilising a multi-plate clutch to split torque between the wheels. With a weight of 4244 lb (1925 kg), it is one of the lightest SUVs to appear in the Forza series although it is also fairly front-heavy due to having 55% of its weight at the front.[2]

Performance[]

The Macan Turbo is up to par with more powerful cars when launching to 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) as it only requires 4.2 seconds to pull it off. However, its acceleration is less powerful at higher gears due to long gearing, resulting in an average 0 to 100 mph (161 km/h) time of 12 seconds and a top speed of 168 mph (270 km/h).

The Macan Turbo has particularly strong handling capabilities as it can hold more grip at higher corner entry speeds than most of its SUV competitors. It also fares well on off-road tracks where it can effortlessly execute drifts without having to use the handbrake most of the time.
