The 2013 SRT Viper GTS (abbreviated as Dodge Viper '13), also known as the 2013 Viper GTS, is a front-engined supercar featured in the SRT Viper Bonus Pack for Forza Motorsport 4 and has returned for all subsequent titles. It also appears in Forza Horizon as that game's cover car, as well as with a Team Forza variant in Forza Horizon 2 and Forza Motorsport 6, and a Limited Edition variant in the Limited Edition release of Forza Motorsport 5.
The SRT Viper GTS is part of the Phase VX (2013-2017) generation, which is the last generation of the Viper to date.
The SRT Viper GTS is the premium model offering more creature comforts over the base model. The most notable exterior difference between the GTS and the base model SRT Viper is the hood. The base model has six functional hood vents while the GTS model only has two. To commemorate the return of the Viper, in 2013 SRT offered a "launch edition" package available on 150 GTS models. All launch editions were painted in Viper Blue with twin white stripes, came with a serialized dash plaque placed inside their cabins, and their interiors were swathed in Black Laguna leather with contrast stitching.
Description
"At the heart of this road-devouring snake is a totally refined all-aluminum, mid-engine, 8.4 liter V10 delivering a class-topping 640 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque. It’s utterly contemporary in its design, and the 2013 Viper’s gorgeous lines are at once sophisticated and hostile—form and function meeting in a sweet spot of automotive aggression. In short, the 2013 Viper’s stunning design will turn heads and its powerful performance will make sure those heads turn very, very quickly."—forzamotorsport.net[1]
Characteristics
The SRT Viper GTS retains the iconic Viper V10, with a displacement of 8.4L (8,383 cc), natural aspiration, all-aluminum construction, and the odd firing trait. The SRT Viper GTS makes 640 hp (477 kW) and 600 ft·lb (813 N·m) for the 2013 and 2014 model years, whereas later models, which are badged as a Dodge, make 645 hp (481 kW). Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed Tremec TR-6060 manual transmission.

Trivia
- In pre-Forza Horizon 2 games, the SRT Viper GTS omits the "SRT" in its name and instead has "Viper" as the manufacturer.
- In Forza Horizon 3, the SRT Viper GTS's 8.4L V10 engine can be swapped onto many cars in the game, particularly American, Japanese, and Australian cars. European cars instead receive the Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4's 5.2L V10 instead.
- Two exceptions to this rule include the 2017 Acura NSX and Cadillac ATS-V. The former car uses the Huracán's 5.2L V10 as an Engine Swap option, while the latter car has both V10s (5.2L V10 and 8.4L V10) available as Engine Swap options.
