The 2011 Toyota Prius is a hybrid electric car by Toyota featured in Forza Motorsport 4 and as a traffic car in Forza Horizon.

Synopsis[]

The 2011 Prius is a third generation model, codenamed ZVW30, entered production in 2009 and was replaced by the fourth generation model in late 2015.

As characterised by its aerodynamic kammback body style, the Prius was designed to feature maximum fuel economy and low emission outputs.

Its drivetrain system consists of a 1.8 litre inline-four engine and an electric motor supplied by a 60 kW battery. Power is transmitted to a continuously variable transmission, CVT, which does not feature fixed gear ratios. Depending on the speed, the Prius solely runs on electric power, combustion energy or both.

When launching from a standstill, the Prius relies on its electric motor, which provides instant torque. During acceleration, both, electric power and combustion energy are used to gain optimal straight-line performance and low fuel consumption. At higher rpms, the Prius draws more power from its internal combustion engine.
