The 2015 Ultima Evolution Coupe 1020 - abbreviated as "Ultima 1020 '15" or "Ultima 1020" - is a rear-wheel drive extreme track toy by Ultima.
It appears in Forza Horizon 3 as part of the VIP Membership and in all subsequent main series titles.
Synopsis[]
The Ultima 1020 is the successor to the Ultima GTR 720. The Ultima 1020 can be built with 15 different power outputs, with the starting model being a 350 hp (261 kW) Evolution kit car priced at US$51,000 (£38,000) and the highest model being the 1020 hp (761 kW) model built by the people at the Ultima factory. The 1020 hp (761 kW) model is priced at US$88,000 (£66,000).[1]
The Ultima 1020's mid-mounted 6.8L (6,800 cc) supercharged Chevrolet LS V8 engine produces 1020 hp (761 kW) and 920 ft·lb (1248 N·m).
The Ultima 1020 is built on the stiff chassis and unique steering and suspension systems from the GTR 720. Satellite navigation, iPod and Bluetooth connection systems, a heated windshield, and a backup camera are also available as options, although the Ultima 1020's interior is very basic. The Ultima 1020 also comes with new LED lights.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Porsche-developed six-speed manual transmission. With a weight of 2094 lb (950 kg), the Ultima 1020 makes a high power-to-weight ratio of 1109 hp (827 kW) per tonne.
Performance[]
The Ultima 1020 is capable of accelerating from a standstill to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 2.4 seconds, 100 mph (161 km/h) in 4.7 seconds, and 150 mph (241 km/h) in 8.9 seconds, with a quarter mile time of 9.2 seconds at 156 mph (251 km/h). The Ultima 1020's top speed is restricted by its gearing to 240 mph (386 km/h), which the Forza renditions of the car always exceed.[2]
The Ultima Evolution Coupe 1020 launches off the line with moderate wheelspin due to its lightweight chassis and powerful engine, and it is one of the fastest accelerating cars to 100 mph (161 km/h), doing that in 4.7 seconds.
With a lightweight chassis, the Ultima 1020 also specializes in handling and braking, which makes it competitive on handling-focused tracks and high-speed tracks alike, especially with a top speed of 246 mph (396 km/h). In Forza Motorsport 7, though, the Ultima 1020 is much harder to control due to having more strongly pronounced wheelspin, which results in more spinouts when exiting corners.
